Due to cold winters, cruises to Alaska are only available from the end of May through September.  It’s the perfect time, offering moderate temperatures, longer days, abundant wildlife and breathtaking scenery.

An Alaskan cruise offers excursions like helicopter flights to glaciers, walks on glaciers and rafting through wildlife preserves

- which means it can be an adventurous vacation – one that is especially popular with families with active youngsters. And you’ll want to pack accordingly. The Alaskan cruise season runs from May through September, with the summer months of June, July and August offering the warmest temperatures but other factors will affect your packing.
